While doing some part-time work at a golf shop in Boston, Scott Peters noticed that each time he returned home to New Hampshire for a visit, he was always asked to bring a few items with him. He saw the opportunity of an untapped market and decided to open a golf store in New Hampshire himself. Knowing, however, that New England summers are short, he enlisted a childhood friend who happened to be working at Ski Market to join him. In 1989, the duo founded Golf & Ski Warehouse, a New Hampshire area golf and ski specialty retail shop that provides hard and soft goods for all recreational needs. With three locations, the store is well known for offering competitive pricing, large inventories, outdoor driving ranges, and expert experienced service. Prior to starting his own business, Scott was an Assistant Marketing Director for the University of Michigan after he graduated from the University of Vermont. |
